In today’s Birmingham Post newspaper, it has been reported that demand for office space in Birmingham could rise to 800,000 sq ft over the next decade. Research carried out by GVA (one of the brokers for Avon Business Centre) found that with forthcoming lease expiries and changing demands from larger leaseholders, the office landscape in central Birmingham will change dramatically in coming years.
“Economic and employment growth, inward investment, mergers and acquisitions, infrastructure improvements, lower occupational densities and a drive towards more efficient buildings will all contribute to overall demand.” (GVA Birmingham Future Office Demand Report, page 5).
This then has an affect upon business centres such as ourselves as offering different benefits to companies looking for office space. While we are not based in central Birmingham or Solihull, we have excellent road links with both places, and with the country as a whole as part of the M42 corridor and a short drive from Birmingham Airport. Being part of a thriving high street offers benefits to all onsite staff, and as a smaller building, reception staff are able to get to know our tenants.
